I have just bought a 1999 Peugeot 106Gti with no MOT or tax. The speedo and rev counter do not work, not even slightly. The digital clock in the rev counter works fine, the coolant temperature, oil temperature and fuel level gauges work OK as do the warning lights, just no clocks. Anyone got any suggestions? I know that there is a common problem with the gauges but is this the usual symptom or does one usually loose the whole thing?

Thanks

Chris

I did one a few weeks ago ,just took the clocks out couldn't get a replacement set the same day so put them back in .They are still working perfectly.
I have been told that if you disconnect and reconnect the battery it resets them but i don't know if it's true (works on xsara's though).
