Finally after all of the publicity surrounding the Clios bonnet catch, this weekend I received a recall notice from Renault.
Even in the letter, they refer to customers experiencing their bonnets opening whilst driving.
They're advising that a check of the bonnet catch is included in all future services.
I shall just wait till tommorrow to see what my garage offer me in terms of a time that they can look at it and a courtesy car if the job will take any longer than half an hour.

it takes 5 mins to check they should be able to do it while you wait

Well it was more like 15 minutes but all is fine so im pleased.

Not heard anything as yet here...

I wonder if they're doing it in age order, or sending out to original owners followed by attacking the DVLA records...

Well im the second owner of my car and the letter said that they'd found our details from the DVLA. If you dont receive it, just pop down to your dealer for the check. You should also add a reminder to check in the service booklet.
