206 engine tuning. Help please
Discussion
Hi All,
Mrs JS has a 138 206 GTI.
Should have bought the 180 really, but there you are.
We're feeling the need for a bit more speed, tho' not really wanting to turn it into an balls-out racer, but a little of coming-on-the-cam power surge and throaty induction roar would be nice.
Web search reveals it's so easy to turn it into a chav mobile, but I havn't found any unbiased and worthwhile info regarding chips/cams/air intakes/ tuning stages which I think is the way to go.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
JS

For induction the ITG Maxogen is definatly the best but its also the most expensive. The Pipercross Viper such as I have on my Clio is good too and is just a bit cheaper tho still around £250!!
Have a look at the Ecosse website for actual tuning bits although you'll probably end up spending a lot of cash for not much gain IMO.
May as well sell it and buy a 180
