Forgot to have a peek before I left this morning, are these just panels that snap off like they are in the front?

I think you'll find they are panels that just FALL off, much like the ones in the front. Or at least they were in my ex's clio.

But I don't actually know, I'm just here for the chucklevision.

French car with panels that snap off?!

Early Renault door cards are clipped on like most other cars, but they're also stuck with a butyl tape.

As for the Clio, the 1998-05 model, rear panels come off fairly easily; once you get the seat and back rest out of the way there are a few torx T25 screws and the seat belt anchor to remove. The whole moulding then comes away from the body.

Excellent, that's just what I was looking for, as a few minutes investigation a few months back made me think that either the panels didn't snap of, or that I was a weakling!

Hopefully my Rainbox two-ways will arrive today or tomorrow and I can fit them over the weekend

Next job... Fitting the component tweeters and Pioneer remote adapter in the dash eek

When I fitted my components tweeters in the front of my clio (52 plate) it was a dash off job

Yep, not looking forward to it, but need to fit a stalk adapter at the same time, as the link for that is behind the clock, so will be able to do the two jobs at once.

How much effort was it would you say (for a numpty like me)?

Well it took me ages so I was glad I had the garage to myself... as for the effort it was one of those jobs that I really wish I had given to a professional because I realised the other day I'll probably want to take them out when I move the car on

Now the car sounds fantastic, really good composure, tight base and fantastic sound-stage cloud9

BTW, they are dead easy to change, no un-bolting of seat-belt mounts or un-screwing of anything. The panel surrounds just need to be pulled out, starting at the "bucket" front edge, the rest will quickly follow. After that it's just four torx screws holding in the appalling OEM speakers.
