I just sold my classic mini, and I got myself a pug 205 1.6 GTI

Great fun driver cars..... but I hate the seat, way too tall for my own liking.

Just bought car as it is. spent my time sorting car. This car has nice but not scary lift off oversteer.

Remove seat, remove plastic spacers, refit seat - about an inch lower though. Won't slide quite so easily though. Or fit an aftermarlet seat - my Cobra sits about 3 inches lower.

Replacing the engine with a bucket seat is a silly idea.

I'm impressed, you have experienced the joys of LOO (Lift Off Oversteer) already!

P.S. I hope that on your plans is to sort out that rust pronto, before it becomes a job of binning the shell.

Enjoy, Loos is amusing, I first found loos after an hour or so of ownership of my current car all those years ago.

Engine bay looks like it needs a spruce up!!

Check that the rear beam is OK - They usually aren't!

Also, looks like it has had rad weld in the cooling system based on the brown muck on the expansion tank. Would be a good idea to flush the coolant system to get rid of it. It has a tendancy to block up all sorts of things if left in for too long.
