Haynes 1993 to 1999 says.
Left hand side of the facia. Picture shows just a single very fat wire going to the bolt. Looks to be at the top edge of the carpet.

Yes but as I said the pic looks like it is at the top edge of the carpet.

I had some strange electricals with my dash. Pulled and refitted every fuse including the big ones in the box at the side of the battery and this cleaned the connections and all the problems went away.
It did however create a problem. I didn't have the code for the radio but got lucky in that someone had marked it on the underside of the radio.

Ahh Steve...thanks again

I will give that a try also. I too dont have the code for the stereo, so have been trying to fit am aftermarket.
Have problems such as....

1. stereo works fine until you use the electric windows (in front) and sound it lost

2. turn headlights on and you loose all power to the head unit (both of these are intermitant)

3. handbrake light is on continuosly, until you press the brake pedal, light goes out, then back on again when you take your foot of the brake.

4. i have no reversing lights, bulbs and fuse are fine.

just a few 'silly' lil things
