Hey

I know most people say that the 205 gti exhaust system is already pretty good but im looking for something with a bit more noise to enhance the driving feel. I don't want a big boomy chavy exhaust but i have found this one and i like the look of it.

It's called a group N exhaust on most websites. Is this road/mot leagal? Anyone have one or any other recommendations?

Cheers

The Peugeot Sport exhaust is apparently ok, although it's mild steel and I've heard them not to last longer than 2 years. There was a fad on 205GTIdrivers a while back, lots of people bought them as they were cheap, lots of threads on this.

I've had the Magnex rear silencer - boomy
Then fitted the complete system inc. manifold. Makes a nice sound, it is stainless steel so will last.

Then with the Mi lost the manifold and fitted a maniflow 4-2-1 manifold mated to the remainder of the Magnex this still makes a lovely sound but can get a bit noisy over 5500rpm.

Ideally I'd replace the remainder of my Magnex with the original exhust system for the more discreet set up. However the Magnex will stay for a while as it don't rust!

and I thought you were a short on money student type? You do realise that you would have to declare your exhaust and then pay the insurance increase (that is if your current insurance company will cover a modified car) as well as the cost of the exhaust and all for zero power gain.
