205 GTi Values
Discussion
I'm curently on my second 1.9 as a work/toy car and have had a recent run of bad luck with various niggles and problems. Nothing major, but enough for me to consider whether it is worth hanging onto or whether to pocket the cash.
I like to keep cars like 205s bog standard because there are so few around. The only mod I have made is a front strut brace, but if I hang onto it I really feel the need to add bonnet pins for safety on track-days (already had the bonnet pop-up onto the catch 3 times when going over 100mph).
If I got the wheels refurbed and gave it a thorough detail, I think it's worth around £2k currently. The question is, should I hang onto it for another coupleof years with a view to cashing in on increasing prices for good, original 1.9s?
So what do you think 205 values are going to do. Up or down?

They seem to be going up albeit slowly.
These folk sell them for ridiculous amounts. www.justgtis.com

You could just sort out the bonnet catch rather than drilling holes for pins! Why upgrade when the original kit is more than capable when properly maintained/set-up?
I've fiddled about with it a few times (admittedly, haven't done a trackday sine the last adjustment, so it may be OK), but the negative effect of wondering IF it will pop is quite stressful.
I take it that others haven't experienced this problem then?
