You need to use the open end of a 12mm spanner and prise them off, put the open end below the joint and lift the spanner and they will pop off.

12 or 13mm spanner should do it.

Brute force.

Bottom engine mount can be easily replaced. I did all mine in situ and did not need the use for a press.

Thanks Simes, got it off eventually.....gear stick still wobbles under power but not as much. Top two engine mounts changed!!!! I suspect the lower one is causing the wobble!!!

Just to add, this is common when the OS driveshafts is worn, perhaps the shaft itself or the intermediate bearing in it that sits in the same housing as the lower engine mount.

have you changed the plastic/nylon bearing in the L shaped linkage? that will help take out some of the wobble. My gearstick looked like a victorian sex toy before i changed the rods and linkage bits
