I would say it is probably a little thin if your car has a few miles on the clock. Peugeots are known for using a decent amount of the slippery stuff if it is a bit worn.

My car has done about 60,000 miles and I've been told the following:

Magnetec 10w40 or Shell Helix 10w40 as recommended by Skip Brown

Don't bother with fully synthetic it will piss out everywhere.
Make sure you use the Purflex filter.

I have always found mineral oil a lot better, although it tends to need changing on a more regular basis. I use Valvoline VR1 Racing 20w 50.
