Ok

We've had a fair bit of rain recently and i havent driven the car much. Opened it today and low and behold there's a big old puddle by the rear seat!. I located the problem to a rear window seal so have to find one of those on the net somewhere.

Managed to eventually soak up the majority of the water and went for a drive to put the blowers on hot and dry it off. Off course the blowers have completely given up too!

With regards to the heaters, is it the heater motor or could there jus be a blockage somewhere?

Cheers, Timmer

When you turn on the blowers can you hear anything happening?

I got a new fan from ebay for about £10, so if it's that it shouldn't much effort to fix.

Very common for the fan and/or the control to give up. Is yours the knob or slider control? i assume its phase 2 so will be the knob type.

Both easy to fix, the fan is just under the passenger side of the dash and the controls are obviously behind the dash panel.

Rear window seals cost me €55 each, stopped the leaks though.
They shrink over time and let water in - you could try and patch it up with sealer though.

The motor can be bought from GSF for about £43 new. I've tried others from breakers but they all squeak after time!

Cheers guys.

It is a phase 1 so it does have the sliding motion, have had to use sealant on the window as i cant get a seel for a while. If the fan is located in mine as the same as what you said for the phase 2 i shall take a look tommorow.

Warm air does come out after 5 minutes of driving the car but it is extremely faint and only if the car is moving. Sometimes i get no cold or hot air whatsoever.

Cheers again.
