Anyone got a peugeot 307 HDI 136 xsi?
Discussion
I have just sold my 04 plated 307 HDI 110 dturbo. AFAIK the engine is fundamentally the same just with less power then the 136 (obviously!).
I had a few problems with mine in 43,500 miles
1. 5cd autochanger stopped working (common fault apparently)
2. At about 40,000 miles I had the dreaded Anti Pollution Fault come up, revs limited to 2500 and no turbo. Took about 3 miles to get to 70mph!! Problem was the Particulate filter, these need changing every 30-40,000 miles. Got mine done under warranty but would set you back about £650 out of warranty.
3. Had a new flywheel (again under warranty and again a known problem) at about 42,000 miles. They fitted an upgraded flywheel so it may be worth checking whether the one you're looking at has got it fitted already.
4. At about 43,000 miles the Anti Pollution Fault reared its ugly head again, faulty sensor this time.
Apart from that I really liked it, had the odd squeak and rattle but never had any probs with all the electrics (apart from the autochanger), cruise, climate, auto lights and wipers etc never failed. Good economy managed to get 625 miles out of a tank on a cruise to the south of France this summer! Usually get about 500 miles with mixed motorway and B road driving.
If it's got the 17 inch alloys on I paid £118 each for Dunlop Sport tyres, it came with Pirelli P Zeros that didn't last to long and cost a bomb!
Hope this helps a bit
Cheers
