Got a remap on the old 306.

Never smoked before but is a bit now off boost under wide throttle openings.

Tempted to look at injectors condition & atomisation (75k FPSH engine) as others have had the remap and no smoke here.

Do 306 Hdi (DW10) injectors take well to cleaning, or are they something that just wears and needs replacing? I've heard of ultrasonic cleaning and filter baskets and all sorts, but will these really need doing on my mileage? Heard of people on 100k+ with the same remap and no smoking off boost.

Cheers

Dave

Smoke could be just too much fuel rather than injectors. I've only had petrol injectors cleaned in the 100k+ mile range and then it certainly helps, afraid I can't be much use on diesels apart from recommending these guys when I've had 2 sets of petrol injectors done:

Yep, seen them...

Close enough to drive over really and have a chat too, sounds like a good place

Thanks for the recommendation!
