I am experiencing an intermitant fault which appears to shut the fuel supply off. It happens every two weeks or so generaly whilst pulling up at junctions or more commonly when the car has been stood.
The car has had a new fuel pump fitted, the car has been in to citroen and interogated for faults but nothing found. I have several hunces all being very expensive these being injectors, fuel pressure switch or some duel relay. Also in the mix are AFM lambar senser etc etc.
PLEASE HELP.

They're fairly problem free compared with most of the newer diesel offerings. I'd say injectors though, I know three are the same and one is the lead. They have to be replaced in a set AFAIK as they are coded to each other. Its a common fault on newer BM's and Merc diesels.
Not very common on HDI's, but I have seen it before. None of the others though, bar the fuel pump/senders on 406's and 306's. And of course the obligitory drivebelt pulley sheering off its rubber mountings!

Get a leak off test done on the injecter's.

On Merc's you do not need to change all but is best to.

Warranty will only pay for faulty one's which need a print out to confirm and the old part's returned.(If the car is less the three year's old)

Coding can be done using the Diagnois Lap top (Mercedes Star Test).
Coding is fairly straight forward.
I'll bet you do not get the same code on your new injecter's to what's on your car.

Cant comment on the Citroen system as it's one I havn't used.

Fuel rail pressure sensor makes this happen and is so common my dealers stock them even though they are £150 .Iwould have thought a code reader would have shown this though.

Acording to the local auto electrial man
Also worth checking the earth strap located on the top of the gearbox.
They have a habit of breaking and giving a few odd problem's.

Hello There,
I had exactly the fault you described , and put up with it for over a year , it got worse and worse,
Turned out to be an electrical problem in the mini loom tray that passes across the front of the engine (2.0 HDI diesel ?) the fuel return sensor wiring. The ECU fault readout does not cover this fault detection, hope this helps...
