I'm currently looking to sell my 307 D Turbo privately and have no idea what its value is really.

Its a 2002 51 plate 3 door D Turbo, in black (the best colour IMO!) with just 29K on the clock. Its got a sun roof but no cruise control. Otherwise it has the usual half leather, 17" wheels, CD/autochanger, climate, electrics, auto wipers/head lights etc.

I've had no problems with the car and it drives/handles great. It has full service history but not main dealer, never had much look with Peugeot garages, so I've always taken it to a local dealer who I've known for years and are friends of the family, that way I knew the work was carried out properly!

so, valuations please, be kind!

I'd ideally like 7K for the car as its rare and low milage but who knows really.

any comments appreciated, thanks for your help.

Try searching for the same car on autotrader it gives you an idea of what's about for sale, colour , mileage trim level etc then you can price accordingly

I'd say £4.5 - £5k tops. I'd be amazed if you got anywhere near £7k I'm afraid.

Its worth more than that, a dealer offered me 5500 as a part ex. Hmm...having checked autotrader it should be worth 6400-7300 depending on how lucky I am.

Cheers for your help anyway guys.

Well he would do, he wants you to buy another car off him... he would more than likely have used up some of his margin to inflate the price of your car to make you feel better and more likely to purchase. Always made me chuckle to myself when offering customers prices for their cars in part exchange and they thought you were pulling the rug out from under them.... They'd let you know that they'd "be able to get more privately" and then come back a month or so later with their tail between their legs hoping you'd still give them the deal offered earlier.

Anyway I hope I'm wrong and you get the £7k you're after, good luck!

Have you had any luck shifting the 307 yet?

Not yet, but then I've not found a car to part ex it with as yet either.

Am trying the autotrader route and also have an advert up on here now as Can't afford to part ex it really. Its a great car in decent condition so just got to hope someone wants it now.

Just got to wait and see.
