Clio 182 rs Exhaust Problems
Discussion
Right ive had my clio for about 10 months now and the first problem i got was the lambor sensor or something to do with the car over fueling and over heating but thats all sortd now.
Right when my car is idling its making a blurbling noise from around the area of the cat.
And it also is whistling when i put my foor down and the car is over 2000rpm.
My car has never done this before at all and has only recently startd doing it, its a bloody annoying noise and not some thing that i desire, its a completly standard exhaust and the car has had no modifications at all.
If i had a little more money id be getting a powerflo exhaust with decat but i have not got much money at the moment.
Does anyone know what this could be, or how to solve the problem.

Sounds like a hole in the exhaust, or a splitting joint between sections.
I'm not 100% sure, but if the engine was running overly rich or lean (lambda controls it at low throttle afaik), then it *could* have been over-heating the cats or damaging them, or maybe even the exhaust around them, which has led to premature failure.
Either way, sounds like exhaust damage/holes/connections Shame on a car that isn't really very old at all!
