70 plate Berlingo Van top struts?

Hi,
I drove my colleagues van on Saturday, noticed a huge difference to the other Berlingo van.
As soon as you move off you get a strange rumble from the suspension.
Had a look underneath, nothing obvious wrong and the rumble sound goes away/gets drowned out at speed.
Only noticeable at low speed or over bumps.
I am presuming it’s the top struts as this is common on these vans although not normally as early as 3 and a half years old.
It has the Citroen used warranty for an extra year that covers it from years 3-4 (it was a pre reg).
The only down side to this warranty is there is a £250 excess.
If it is the top strut (one or both) is it worth sending it to main dealers and paying the excess?
I know the answer is ask an indi for a price , it’s just not that easy as we are on the road at 7am all day.
Just wanted an idea on likely cost as he is off this week and would like to get it sorted or at least start the ball rolling.
Also, anything else common on these Berlingo/Partner/Combo vans that would cause a rumble sound at low speed etc from the suspension?
