Hi - would really appreciate it if anybody can recommend a Renault specialist, preferably with good knowledge of the Twingo RS / 133 around the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire/Herefordshire/Monmouthshire area.

We've had ours for around 10 years, but it needs a mechanical refresh due to age, not mileage (it's still under 30k miles).

We used K-Tec (Dorset) for its first cam belt change 6 years ago, but it's a trek. However, they really specialise in these cars, so it may still be the best bet.

I'm also trying to source a full set of new old stock 17" original alloys, preferably in gunmetal (but could always get them painted). The set we have are excessively corroded and have already been refurbed once.

Thanks!

there's nothing particularly difficult about them that a good mechanic couldn't handle. Take it to somewhere local with a list of things it needs doing.

As for the alloys, try some aftermarket wheels.

I miss mine.

Cheers. Ideally looking for a specialist as we may want to change the shocks to something better for an improved ride (it is a pogo stick... even though we love it), brakes, etc.

It's a very tight engine bay, so changing the cam belt is a pain. Specialists tend to do this job well and more efficiently.

But yeah... a good local mechanic would be good. Any suggestions? We've been using a local garage for years, but they are retiring.
