Hello all. Very briefly, was the sunroof deflector a factory fit item / standard item on the sliding sunroof or a dealer option?

Some had the big smoked plastic one and some
Did not. I think it was factory though. All sunroof cars had the plastic surround to cover the rails.

I think I have a factory wind deflector somewhere

Out of interest how much do these go for these days? I had one of the smoked defectors on my 205 GTi back in the day. I didn't like it so I took it off and threw it away.......

I ended up selling that car for £1k, wish I had kept it now

I had a quick look for it today. I will have another look in the week.

Standard sunroof looked like this....

SHUT

OPEN

Which has a surround, not like the aftermarket ones people fixed in front of the leading edge of the sunroof.

Ah that's a great help thank you. Mine is exactly the same; no deflector. If it wasn't a standard fit I won't put one on.

As above - if what you have looks like this ...

https://www.205gtidrivers.com/forums/topic/171109-...

... then that's either an aftermarket or, if it's stamped with a Peugeot logo, a dealer accessory item. Most of the time when they come up for sale they're either minus the brackets that you need to secure them properly, or the seal itself has shrunk (like the one in the pic above). They also tend to trap water under them too which isn't ideal.

Think wind deflectors are ugly and the standard roof worked well without the need for one.
