Renault M9R vs Citroen 2.0HDi
Discussion
Hi all.
I currently have a Renault Laguna Sport Tourer with the 150hp M9R 2.0 Diesel Engine. I've never driven a modern diesel engine before, and it's really impressed me. It's still obviously a diesel, but it's got enough poke to keep up with traffic, and is returning an average of 50mpg since buying the car (calculated brim to brim).
The Laguna has also cemented just how well French cars cover ground. It's much more effortless to cover longer distances in than even my previous Volvo V70 / XC70 D5. It's a great car.
I've always had a soft spot for Citroen. ideally I'd LOVE a C6, but it's not sensible. A C5 Exclusive Estate with the Hydroactive suspension would fit the bill just nicely, I reckon. I do need something that offers good range - I can get around 700 miles from a tank in the Renault and hopefully the Citroen would be able to do similar?
Has anyone run one? The C5 is a bit heavier than the Renault, but I'm hoping it'll still offer good economy?
