Bit of an odd one, but just put my Megane 300 on a trickle charger and the hazard lights switched on. I now can't turn them off. Any idea what might fix it? Cheers.

Are you sure the alarm has triggered?

I'm not sure to be honest. Possibly. Is there a way to reset it?

Try cycling the locking and unlocking using the remote (assuming it has one) or the key.

Thanks, but tried that a few times and no joy.

I'm sure this was a symptom of a knackered battery on our demo Trophy.

Might well be. It's gone flat a few times. Just spoke to Renault in Tunbridge Wells and they've said bring the car in and leave it with them for a day.

The batteries have been problematic on the Trophy.

Fixed. RAC turned up and disconnected then reconnected the battery. Problem solved. First time he'd seen it happen on a Megane.

The alarm went off on my 280 a couple of weeks back, kept going off constantly, unlocking didn't sort it, neither did starting the car!

I disconnected the battery for 30 seconds, reconnected it and it chirped then disarmed.

I think it was a case of the battery being low as I hadn't taken it out for a week and also got the lurgi for a week. I stuck it on my CTEK charger for a few hours and it's been fine since (along with light usage).
