RENAULT GRAND ESPACE 3.5 V6 MARK IV
Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well.
Just need a bit of advice please.
I have mentioned my car in a previous feed and most of the issues I had raised have been resolved (except the rear windscreen washer is still not producing water, but I'll come back to that). What is now troubling me is that I have driven the car twice (every 7 days) twice in 2 weeks and all was fine. I even started it up yesterday evening and it started and turned over lovely.
But, I have just literally got into the car, put the card key into the slot, pressed my foot on to the brake pedal, pressed the start/stop button, get a click, and nothing. The dashboard lights up perfectly but the clock in now flashing 0.00, as if it needs resetting to the correct time.
I don't think it's the alternator as it has had a replacement within the last 6 months. And I had a new battery installed in January 2022, so it can't be that.
I am my wits end as to what it could be.
It's as if something is slowly draining the battery.
What can it be??????????
1) Could it be the ECU???
2) And if so can the ECU be changed, reset or remapped at all??
3) If it is a case of changing, resetting or remapping the ECU, where can I get this done???
Any help, suggestions, advice would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
Like I said, I am at my wits end.
Many thanks in advance.
