Citroen C4 Picasso Electrical fault

Hi, I'm after some advice please.

I have a Citroen C4 Picasso (2014), I went to work on night shift and the car was perfect, when I went to started the car the next morning there were warning light on telling me to STOP... When I tried to turn the ignition off from the power button nothing happened, I had to stall the car to stop it, the electric hand break is not coming on and the steering lock isn't working. When the car was recovered and brought back everything started to work again, however, this has all since gone off again.
Looking for any suggestions of what this may be..

Great shout, looking at the age, I bet that’s the original battery that’s finally expired

Thank you, I'm going to get a new battery tomorrow and try that as it is the original battery that came with the car.

Do you have a voltmeter? Test the alternator as well once the new battery is on. Get it on idle and check the volts, should be around 13.5 volts up to around the 14 mark. Then pop your blower on full your headlamps and heated screen. Check the voltage again. If she drops below 12.2/12 volt it's knackered. Actually it should be higher than that but 12.2 and you are going to have serious gremlins. Most of mine run at around 13.8 and drop to a minimum of 13. Watch it for creeping down slowly if the regulator is toast in the alternator. Post the numbers up if you want.
