So I do not currently plan to track my Megane, and I want to keep it pretty OEM because I love everything about it, however I am interested if there are any small things worth doing. So many small things I have done on the clio have made a huge difference, the most noticeable being the whiteline ARB and the PMS Shifter

So I wondered if there were similar small things on the Megane, also open to styling changes.

I have looked at the ZPO extended and carbon gear knob to go with my carbon interior but I am not sure I want to change from the current shifter. Whilst on the Clio the extended shifter is great for changing gear on track, on the Megane its more chilled to have the shifter where it is so I can rest my left elbow on the armrest.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

One I wondered about, although I am sure it is a huge waste of money and time, was adding the rear parking camera as mine doesnt have one?

The other obvious one is picking up a set of Ohlins as mine doesn't have Ohlins, but cant imagine they are cheap!

Meant to reply to this a while ago. I think it really comes down to personal preference but as these cars as so brilliant out of the box, they don't really need anything.

I can't leave a car standard and I enjoy more noise, so have an ITG induction kit and Forge recirculation valve on my Cup-S for silly noises and what will be a power boost when I'm finished and get my Engine Dynamics map tweaked. Intercooler and potentially a sports cat to follow.

As good as the big shifters look, I actually prefer the standard shifter for road driving. Other than adding lots of power to my old 250, I think the change I made that made the biggest difference was fitting Recaro Pole Positions – it really transformed how I felt driving the car but I appreciate not everyone can ditch access to the rear seats.

Which wheels are you running? 19" Steevs? If so, change the PS2 tyres to PS4S

If you're on the 18" Tibors Michelin don't make the PS4S in that size yet sadly frown

I think a remap to 300bhp gives it the power it deserves. Doesn't need any more than that imo. Intercooler will help keep the power consistent in the summer. Make sure it's had the software update the fix knock sensor issues too.

Decent brake pads are a good improvement too. The OEM items are fine, but can be better

RSMonitor V2 can be retro installed if you have the R-Link Sat Nav system. Always useful info

Recaros as Ben says if yours didn't have them from factory

Mid box delete for some extra noise/pops, or if you're flush with cash get the Akrapovic for Titanium and carbon goodness

Decent steering wheel re-trim makes a MASSIVE difference imo. The standard wheel doesn't feel great, if yours has alcantara it's pretty poor after a while too.

Michelin PS4S make a great difference if you haven't already got them...

Recaro seats are nice if you don't already have them and need to retain access to the back.

Yes they do. They didn't originally but they became available last year.

Got a set on my car. Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport are a good alternative.
