Hi,

I need your help again please! Over the last couple of days, particuarly when I'm going slowly/manoeuvring, I have noticed a slight clunk noise a few times when steering. Loving my car as I do I like to act as soon as I notice anything different, despite my hella lack of money at the moment.

A quick google has so far suggested possible issues with my steering rack, ball end joints or track rods. I'm yet to check my steering fluid level but will do so when daylight comes around.

As my go to crew for car advice I was hoping you could give me some more advice on what it is likely to be, how much it it may cost and how urgently I need to get it seen to. Also what can I possibly do/check to pinpoint the exact problem before taking it to the garage so I can make sure I have enough funds to fix it.

Its a near enough factory spec 2004 Peugeot 206 GTI 180 - as far as I can tell only the stereo has been messed with (i can't help myself!). It recently reached 100000 miles, MOT'd April 2020, last service was September 2019. I've had it nearly three years and haven't had to do anything suspension or steering related so far.

Thanks in advance!

Jane
