Cirtoen C4 110 hp Diesel - Risk of Filter Blocking
Discussion
My partner has a 2006 C4 with the 110hp Diesel engine, it has covered about 115,000 miles. EGR was replaced about 3000 miles ago. She's now got a "Risk of Filter Blocking" warning on the dash.
Is it possible to do a forced regen by running at motorway speeds under load or does it actually need money spending on it?

It may be the pat/eolys fluid needs replenishing and the counter/level reset. Something that is rarely done at service.
I think it is the Eolys fluid, it's never been done and I suppose it's one of those things that doesn't last forever! I imagine it's not one for the home mechanic (actually frantic googler half way through a task!). Partner is very reluctant to spend much on a car that is actually worth very little and has not long had an expensive repair / MOT.

It wont be the Eolys fluid, you will get a fluid low warning accompanied by a range warning for that, its going to be the dpf so the car needs a very good run to force the regen cycle.Partner is very reluctant to spend much on a car that is actually worth very little and has not long had an expensive repair / MOT.
