Renault Scenic 3 1.5DCI ECU

I have a 2009 Renault Scenic 3 1.5DCI that, I think, has ECU issues. Symptoms:

Starts and will run for a short time, then stall. Dashbaord shows 'Engine Failure, hadard'. Car will not re-start.
After a few seconds, and removing and re-inserting the key card, car will re-start
Sometimes errors will clear, sometimes various other messages are displayed - 'Check ESP', 'Check anti-polution'
Engine light and spanner symbol remain on

Sometimes it will drive OK with some error warnngs on, but will start to lose power and some point and then stall
On leaving for a 'while' and returning, often all errors are now not to be seen

There are 2 error codes stored in the ECU but seem un-related.

Is this the sign the ECU is failing?

Don't take for granted they are unrelated,on the mk2 even the aircon sensor will stop it running.
