RS 265 Trophy - should it warrant a premium?

They look nice

and being only 50 there is something meaningful about that

but apart from the remap and tyres research suggests there are no differences from the cup. And as most of these get remapped up to 300+ then not sure what the point of getting a Trophy is - but I still want one ??!!?

I wouldn't rate the 265 Trophy any differently to a 250 Cup to be honest. If you like the colour, go for it, but spec wise you may be better getting a facelifted 265 Cup.

I'd buy on spec and condition to be honest. Lots of 250 Cups and 265 Cups will have a higher spec than the 265 Trophy.

Do all 265 Trophys come with Ohlins? I've had 275s with and without and they are transformative.

If not - then I agree they aren't worth much of a premium over a well-specced cup car.

I dont believe they come with Ohlins...

So yeah I am not sure of the point, but then again the 330ci Clubsport makes no sense either but nice examples seem to hold on to their value better?!

ill look for a 250cup probab;ly on that basis, that has already been modded. .

No 265 Trophy was well before the Ohlins were offered - pre facelift and all.

Oh yes remember now. I think Ohlins came in with the 275 Trophy, not the 265.
