The alarm keeps going off from time to time on my dad's 2007 Scenic.

Is there any way to temporarily disable it until lockdown is over and we can get it to a garage?

Obviously I can isolate the battery negative lead, but is there anything less dramatic. Removing a fuse maybe?

Does it have interior ultrasonic sensors?

I have an issue (spider related I think) on a 67 plate Kadjar where the alarm goes off intermittently. To get around this sometimes I disable the sensors. On mine you hold down the lock button on the fob for a few second and the alarm then bleeps a number of times. This has stopped the alarm going off for me.

Might be worth a try to see if it's a sensor issue? Not sure if the same method applies to a scenic, but it'd be straight forward to find out I'd imagine.

I've tried that, it seems on a Scenic you press the start button five times to disable that sensor

So far so good, but if it doesn't work does anyone know how to disable the alarm completely without killing the car?

Thank you.

I'm hoping it doesn't come to that, not heard the alarm all day, but they don't really need an alarm to keep an old banger on the drive in a good area.
