It's difficult to find parts for Peugeot and Citroën from the 80's up to 2010. Thank's to PSA policy.
They dont care at all about "old" cars.

I live in France, we got difficulties to find some specific parts for the C6. Even my oncle's C8 HDI 160, the car garage is struggling to find a remplacement particule filter. The car is from 2014.

When it's a "popular" car, we can count on independ suplliers. When it's a old car also.

I got a V6 Peugeot 406, too young to be supported by entusiasts, to old to be supported by Peugeot : some parts aren't avaible at all, like the clutch master cylinder or one engine mount for the older V6s. And it's also difficult to find a water pump.

The only place for a part like that is a Main Dealer, expensive. Unless you are very very lucky to find one in good condition at a breakers. Mind you the car will run perfectly without one, I think 50% of the Peugeot/Citroen`s I`ve seen the under tray had long gone. Just water proof some of the vulnerable sensors.

Try this, https://www.pieces-de-rechange-classic.com/16-citr... for Citroen and there is another page for Peugeot.
For old Peugeot parts in France I`ve used these guys, http://www.serie04.com/fr/406-406 and in the UK http://www.peugeotparts.co.uk/

I've used old-french-parts on ebay for BX spares (old and new-old stock). May be worth keeping an eye there?

Can't see any C5 undertrays at the moment though

Hello.
I'm using série04 for my 204 and it's great.

Peugeot classic is principally making specific cosmetic pieces, for the 205 GTI (monograms, gear lever...).

But they said that they will do mecanic parts and refabrications in the futur (untill now it's only old stocks).

It's a shame that french manufacturers don't support their old cars. I got a 1982 Merc, when i go to the dealer in the friday afternoon for parts, i can comeback take it the saturday morning...

Not fan of used spare parts for the hydraulics on these cars.
The joints can be dry and so there are leaks on the system.

I have and had 4 Citroën with that suspension (ID19, GS, CX2200 petrol, xantia diesel).

Only bought electronics (!) so far. Turned out I needn’t have bothered as it was a dodgy earth.

My dad had an id, gs estate and 2 bx estates , a 19rd I learnt to drive on, all 71 bhp of it, then graduated to the tzd turbo with a heady 90. Ah the joy of turbos.

I’m trying to re-live the joy of suppleness with a bx gti 8v but guess what? I’ve got a hydraulic leak.
What betting the spare my dad dug out from nearly 20yrs ago is still ok? It’s still sealed in the bag with oil as it left the factory.
Ah the fleeting joy of hoarding

Chevronics are worth a look, as are CX-basis, over the channel (Belgium or Netherlands....I think).
