Morning,

I bought a cheap Peugeot 207 1.4 s petrol a few months back.

Recently when I've been starting it from cold, for the first minute or so, the engine bogs down and struggles to pull away. It's never stalled as generally I catch it before it does, then after that it runs fine until the next day, when I start it again for the first time. The EML doesn't flash up.

I've tried googling the symptoms, theres mention of MAP sensors or coolant temp sensors and even going back to peugeot for code updates.

Does anyone have any ideas as to potential causes/remedies.

Thanks

T

What you've already found are common, coolant temp sensor or MAP sensor, but a scan is the easiest way to find out.

It's an 07 plate 1.4s. I believe its 90 BHP.

It's only on 45k.

Thanks. It's not a major issue at the moment. But I might need to be using the car alot more over the coming months, just wanting to make sure its tip top for the job
