106 driveshaft oil seal question

Hi,

Probably a dumb question, but I figured check first rather than disassemble later.

I have a new OEM nearside driveshaft gearbox oil seal for a 106 - I am assuming the flat face sits inwards, and the flexible seal side faces outwards.

I couldn't work from the one I removed as it is a completely different type, with the same construction both sides.

Could anyone confirm for me?

No, the flat face is outwards / seal with spring ring is inwards
