This old girl joined the family last night, did a deal with a nice chap on one of my cars and he left this with me as a part ex against it, it also helped him commute up the country to swap cars.

Lots of jobs to do but having driven it round last night it's a hoot to drive.

We already have one hot hatch which is Sarah's shed/daily a saxo vtr, this feels very much similar to it, it's not the top model with the gti6 engine and box, but it never feels to be lacking power and drives really nicely when your not hammering it. The vtr is much the same, it's not as quick as a vts, but it's a lovely torquey motor and a pleasure to drive.

One thing I am after once I get the locking wheel bolts out of the rear wheels which isn't looking like fun if a key doesn't appear is a set of the Citroen C5 15" steel wheels. If anyone knows of a set?

The 306 and 406 were the last REAL Peugeot`s. That XU 16 valve engine was one of the best engines Peugeot ever made. Just make sure the cam belt has been replaced every 50K,its been regularly serviced and the engine will last for ever.
As for the locking wheel bolts.Get a tyre bay to remove them, sling them all in the bin and fit standard bolts. Locking wheel bolts cause more grief than all the other problems put together.

There are people on Ebay who can make new locking wheel nut keys if you send them a good picture of the bolt. I've used it before when I lost the key for the alloys on my Clio, and it worked fine.

The locking bolts are out guys. took me a while as they were a very effective design, but i'm yet to meet one that I can't remove.

I always bin them along with aftermarket alarms and immobilisers. Both only make life hard for owners not thieves.
