207 Erratic outside air temperature display reading

There's a bit knocking about on the interweb regarding incorrect display readings, for example -27C when it's about 8C and readings a lot higher that the ambient temp'. Ours is the under reading fault.

This winter the Pug is in the garage and when started the display says the outside temp' is a lot lower than it actuallly is. It does eventually correct itself when out and in use.

I am told the sensor is in one of the mirrors, has anyone had this problem and fixed it.
