Hi
Just bought a 308 gti and want to change the plugs but can't find a part number anywhere, anyone know where to get them or is it dealer only?
Cheers
Dealer only, NGK don't have a part number for them on their list.Just bought a 308 gti and want to change the plugs but can't find a part number anywhere, anyone know where to get them or is it dealer only?

Though they should be changed at every service, no need to replace them unless they have not been.

The dealer will charge you £150 to change them - or you could buy them from here, change them yourself and save £100.Though they should be changed at every service, no need to replace them unless they have not been.

I've had mine for 18 months now. It's a massively underrated car! Its worth taking it on a track day to see what it is really capable off. If you don't fancy taking your own car out, get in touch with MSV trackdays as they use them for tuition.Just bought a 308 gti and want to change the plugs but can't find a part number anywhere, anyone know where to get them or is it dealer only?

Cheers for the info, I looked at comkotes but the plug they sell is heat range 7, isn't it supposed to be 8?
Cheers
Good spot...Cheers
I'd phone Robins & Day and get them to send you some - or online overseas here https://www.myparto.com/de/zuendung-zuendanlage/zu...
Quick update, got this response from comkotes which explains things, just ordered a set.
The heat range on the plugs are widely incorrectly listed as NGK do not make a heat range 8 that is of same plug gap, what happened years ago is they changed the coding system so some list them as a heat range 8, you couldnt get a NGK heat range 8 and then gap them within safety since you need a 0.7mm gap and the heat range 8 come with a 0.9mm yet NGK recommend that a plug gap should only be changed by 0.1mm, hope this clears it up. If you need to know we have heat range 7 plugs working fine on 450hp applications.Youll probably find the code you have described is listed for RCZ-R by non UK company's , that plug is not in the NGK parts catalougue and never has been.

Not sure which dealer you go to but mine really doesn't charge anywhere near that sort of price for replacing the spark plugs, think you best find a new dealer https://www.comkotes-tuning.co.uk/performance-308-...

I've emailed comkotes to check, might be a typo...
Robins and day want 22 each!
Good find on the euro store, cheapest so far!
£16 quid each from my dealer Robins and day want 22 each!

As for not being able to find the spark plug on the NGK website, well yes you can't, Peugeot Sport have some on their web page as does Citroen but the ones pointed out above are specifically designed for PS and Citroen Racing so you cannot buy them off the shelf, only from the dealer (in a similar way that Alcon don't sell the brake discs off the shelf, only via the dealer), so they are an 8 grade and only available from the dealer.

And out of interest how much is it for replacement front discs and pads? Pretty pricey being 4 pot Alcons i'd imagine? (in a similar way that Alcon don't sell the brake discs off the shelf, only via the dealer), so they are an 8 grade and only available from the dealer.

Having a car fettled by Peugeot sport makes for a great car. But I think they misunderstood the market.
Technically the car excels with is fully forged engine, fancy brakes, mechanical LSD etc. And this can be seen when you compare it's track times and power to weight ratio.
But Peugeot haven't marketed it right. They kept it looking and sounding too subtle and didn't use it's racing pedigree. Plus there are no user adjustable settings.
Compare it to the new Hyundai. Out of nowhere it has become one of the best selling and reviewed hot hatches. And yes, it is good, but the pug is nicer inside, more exciting when driven hard, quicker round a track.
But less noisy, less flashy, less digital, less configurable, and uses some very expensive parts that will need maintenance....
