Should it be as simple as pressing the unlock button on the key and lifting the boot open? Because that isn't working. I don't see anything else on the boot or inside the car with which to make it open. So if I can't get it to open is the central locking system fked?

Thanks.

Do you have a boot button on your remote? If so press it for a couple of seconds. If there is a button/lever that activates a switch on the boot and you hear no sound when pressed then either the switch is knackered or more commonly the release motor.

No there's no boot button, only lock and unlock. fking damn it, I couldv'e sworn the dealer opened the boot for me when I first went to see it. Now he isn't answering.

If you have a 3 button remote then yes you should be able to open it from the key. If you have a 2 button remote then you open the boot on pressing on the rubber pad between the number plate lights (with the car unlocked obviously) - assuming that the car hasn't been modified

Hi I have the 2 button remote but there is no rubber pad in between the plate lights, only a hard plastic piece there with nothing in it. Pic related.

I assume you haven't got the driver's handbook? It should be possible to download one either from Peugeot's website or a third party.

No I don't have the handbook but I've looked at the standard Peugeot 207 handbook online and all it shows to open the boot is the unlock fob on the key and an action to lift the boot up from the middle.

The switch/handle is probably broken. I am assuming the vehicle is unlocked when you try and open it using the handle, right?
There's a way to open the moot manually as well, it should be in your manual:
