My C6 was written off just before Xmas, and while I've been enjoying the Alfa 159 Sportwagon I replaced it with, and have been making the use of the larger boot (never done so many dump runs!), it's just not a C6...

So I'm on a lookout for another one. I'm in no rush, however, so think I'll hold out for either a 3.0 diesel (only 30 came into the UK), the Noir et Blanc special edition or at a push, a decent low-mileage Exclusive with lounge pack. It'll be something to keep rather than as a DD.

Just posting on the hope that someone might hear about something suitable...

No issue with the 2.7 for the right car.

I'd seen that one, but it's the Lignage with the basic stereo/telematics and no built in phone nor satnav. If it was a 2.7, I'd be looking for a Lignage with an RT4/5 at least, and ideally a Exclusive with Lounge Pack.

I'm really interested in getting one of these. How is life with a C6? Does its sheer size cause problems with everyday traffic? Is the ride indeed as good as you'd expect from a large Citroen? Any issues with reliability?

It’s no larger than any other big Merc or BMW really. Day to day it’s fine but it will be happier on longer journeys than short trips.

They’re quite front heavy so suspension bush wear is common.

The 2.7 v6 diesel is a Dagenham built duratorque unit so they are well understood.

Ride is as good as you’d expect.
