Renault G9T 720
Discussion
I am working on this motor, new cambelt. RH Camshaft pulley came off / stud broke, maybe not tightened by previous mechanic. New belt timed as per G9T-720 manual. Engine will not start.
On the Crankshaft to Cambelt drive train is there any drive pins that could shear making the timing of the Cams not possible. I have seen this on a Volvo with a Renault engine after a lot of head scratching, not mentioned in any manuals.
Also is the G9T-720 a non-interference engine in the event of Cambelt failure.
