Peugeot 508 rxh - Any Good??

Morning All,

I am in the market for a new 4wd estate. I drive a Subaru legacy 2013 model and the local dealer who sells Subaru also sells Peugeot and has a nearly new 508 rxh on the lot as well as a nearly new Subaru outback. The Peugeot is a diesel hybrid while the Subaru is a 2.5i petrol. I like Subaru, the Legacy has never let me down. However my Dad always drove Citroen diesels which had essentially the same engine as a Peugeot and never had a minutes trouble. I also worked in a Peugeot dealership as a teenager and saw some of the electrical maladies which could affect them through a 'half baked' development process which turned me off the marque for the subsequent almost 20 years.

Therefore, before I decide, can anyone tell me what are the potential pitfalls for this particular model?

You say you want a 4wd estate - bear in mind that the 508 Hybrid4 isn't really "4wd". The internal combustion drives one end, the electrickery drives the other end.

That apart, it's all generic PSA parts-bin, whatever you may or may not think of that.
