Peugeot 307: Can't unlock doors.
Discussion
I have a 307 Peugeot 56 reg automatic, which snapped it's cam belt (I think) a few day ago. I was planning to give it away free, but this morning I've discovered that the doors wont unlock. I think the battery may have died.
Can anyone offer a solution?
I just want the car taken away without costing me any money.
Thank you for any replies.

Bit old school for a 21st century problem Old Merc.
I know it is,but a 307 has got a metal key and you should be able to unlock the driver`s door, even if it was dead locked. Mind you most people never do so the key hole and lock gets seized up.I had this on a 307,flat battery and a vandalized door lock.Tried every trick in the book. Even after getting under, opening the bonnet and fitting a new battery the blip would still not work because you have switch on the lights to wake up the BSI.Then everything will come back to life.
We Ended up smashing the driver`s window.
Yes I`m old school, when I started with Peugeot electric windows was technology.
