Leaking Peugeot 107... whits end!

Hello all,

I'm looking for a bit of advice about my Peugout 107. As expected it is leaking and has water in the boot that seems to be coming from relatively high up - the 'shelf' section on the offside is wet and there is a puddle where the spare is. Interestingly it is also wet on the ledge between the rear-offside passenger seatbelt mount and the boot. I've researched it and done the following:

- removed and cleaned the boot seal - resealed it with sealant and moved it round a good few inches.
- removed rear light clusters and applied sealant
- removed bumper and applied sealant to rear vents
- sealed top brake light

From memory the top brake light and vents were wet around them before I resealed them and the boot rubber was very grotty in places.

I thought this would solve the problem but there is still water in those places.

I have since sat in the back whilst someone pours water along the boot, light clusters and rear windows (it is a 3 door). There is no evidence of water coming in. I also can't trace the water any higher - I've taken off the side liner and there's no sign of water there.

Has anyone got ANY ideas??? I really can't see where the problem is and it's driving me mad... just sealing those four points took me all day.

Roof rail leak? My mate had issues with water sloshing around the roof and filling up the spare wheel well, turned out to be that.

Interesting... I thought those two rails on the top were purely cosmetic? Would you suggest putting a bead of sealant down those? Or is there somewhere else I should be looking?

I have the same car Peugeot 107, but 5 doors.
Same problem, I have puddles in the 4 footwells and in the spare wheel in the boot. What I discovered so far the water comes from all the doors seals and from the boot seal as well.

I worked only one one door as of today, and I applied a bed of silicon all over the metal trim. I passed all over the seal re-closing the opening that goes on to the trim.

I'll keep you posted on the work done.

I’m having the same issue with my daughter’s 107 and currently working through the same list of things to change. So far I’ve done one rear door seal and one back hatch seal. I’m about to replace the seals on the rear lights and am awaiting the rear hatch hinges being checked as part of a recall. The boot is still full of water. If anyone has found the problem please advise. I’m not sure on the roof rails. There is no moisture on the ceiling or sides of the car. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Any success with the Peugeot 107 Leak saga?
My wife's Aygo has the same problem. Water seems to be getting behind the boot seal - into the gripping "U" section, tracking around and dripping onto the top of the rear light recess.
I am thinking of removing the seal and filling the channel with a suitable sealant and pressing it back on. What do you think?

I too would love to know the answer, I've changed all the light fittings and sealed had all the seals checked and still I have a puddle...

We had a C1 with the same problem. I eventually cured all leaks with the following:

- made a brand new seal for the third brake light from a 3mm thick sheet of closed-cell foam.

- ripped out the tail light seals and binned them, they act like a sponge and absorb water. Using 6mm thick closed-cell foam, made new seals and using clear silicone attached them to the back of the tail light units.

- removed, and then re-seated the tailgate seal.

- behind the rear bumper using silicone, applied a bead around the edge of the air vents. These are sometimes a source of water

- while the bumper was off, apply silicone around any grommets on the back of the car to make sure they're sealed.

- in the spare wheel well, silicone around the edges of the rubber drainage grommets

All this in one go, successfully cured all leaking.

Just had a go at mine.
Seems the high brake light was dry but
The rear lights the foam square where the wire go into the car body, was quite wet so I sealed that up and also made a shielding bridge above it with silicon

Don’t mess about with silicone on these, it’s a messy bodge.

Fit this seal kit after removing the old seals and cleaning up everything so it’s spotless - https://x8r.co.uk/107-c1-5-door-seal-combo-kit.htm...

Then keep the seals clean and treated with a rubber care product. You’ll have a leak free C1/Aygo/107.

Did mine when I bought it a couple of years ago and it’s been perfect since.
