I've just had the EGR Valve replaced which was completely gunked up. Anyway after driving the car for a few days i now have another warning light on the Dash.

Check Anti Pollution system

What will this be? Some filters need replacing? The car is running perfectly

Any advice would be great. Thanks MG

Googling says that message covers a few things from EGR to Injectors to DPF. Does it have a DPF, have you tried to regenerate?

Thanks for the reply.

I will be honest I'm no expert, in fact the opposite. Can you explain - Does it have a DPF, have you tried to regenerate

No problem.

It stands for Diesel Particulate Filter (essentially the diesel version of a catalytic converter) they collect crap to keep emissions down and need to build up a lot of heat to be able to clear themselves. If the car is only doing short journeys then it's possible it could be blocked. Normally a 30 minute motorway blast at higher revs (perhaps 5th gear rather than 6th or 4th rather than 5th) should do it.

I really appreciate your help and advice, i just don't want to keep throwing money at the car due to its age. I will go for a blast over the weekend to see if i can clear the fault. Thanks again

Fingers crossed for you. See if you can have a look in the manual (online or physical) and it should tell you the correct procedure for the regeneration.

I agree, probably your DPF is clogged, you will need a forced regeneration, it must be done by the OBDII with a can clip (Renault diagnosis machine).

Try to drive out of the city from time to time to prevent this situation.
