306 GTI-6 high idle speed and holding onto revs
Discussion
I was driving my 306 GTI-6 home from work earlier this evening and I couldn't help but notice it was idling around 1300rpm even when warmed up (normally sits at around 900rpm).
Also when driving along in gear at higher speed (for example 50mph in 6th), if I lifted off the throttle it seemed to 'stick' for about half a second, then it would stutter and go back to normal, and at low revs (below about 1800rpm) in gear, it felt like it was trying to pull away a little bit without me accelerating.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

Cheers for the response. Seems like you are right, a search on Google suggests this is quite a common thing on GTI-6s.
Having said that, drove back from work today and it was ticking over perfectly and drove spot on all the way home.
Hopefully it was a one off, but I will keep a close eye on it in the meantime.
Thanks again!
