Hello

looking for a decent car for under £1000 and noticed a local C2 at a garage. I know shed gurus advise to always buy from a private seller but this just caught my eye a bit.

£600. MOT history doesn't look appalling so I rang the garage to ask what's wrong with it at this cost and they said the engine light is on but they don't know why. I'd obviously test drive this before making a decision and do a full once over but is this a straight no or could it be something trivial? advice?

Cheers

If they're prepared to sell you a car with a known, obvious, fault, I'd steer clear of them.

"Don't Know". . . or they do know that it's an expensive fault?
