Renault kangoo timing belt service question.
Discussion
I have a technical question regarding the timing belt service on a 2009 renault kangoo.
The van was fully dealer maintained up to about 60,000 miles. i have owned the van since 80,000 miles and now it is on 118,000 miles. i have not done a major timing belt service.
Van is not worth a lot so wondering what is involved in the timing belt service and if it would be worth the money to get done.
Can anyone give me the details of exactly whats changed on the timing belt service please?

At 118k miles the belt must have been done at some point or you're on very very risky ground and you'll be throwing the van away if it goes. Go off 5 years or 60K intervals depending on the type of use and it's a couple of hours job to do. You need to change the belt and tensioner, check and probably change the water pump and I'd recommend doing the drive belt (fan belt) and tensioner as well.
Edited again, also check the alternator pulley for ally filings as these normally only last around 70-80K, all this is assuming it's a 1.5 dci
