I'm looking for a replacement for my Fiesta Zetec S 140 bhp.

I'd like something thats a bit quicker, still fun, still rides nicely and doesnt cost a fortune to run !

Probably on a lease..

Anyone on here have a 208 GTI and care to commment on it ?

thanks

What about a 308 GTI 250? My dealer has a new one up at £19500 in red, they also have a 66 plate 208 GTI in stock.

Peugeot Passport, said 250 above will probably only cost you around 250 pm with the option to buy at the end, has the 270 interior and 19 inch wheels smile

I had a 208 GTI on lease for 2 years until last December. It was fantastic!!

It replaced a Clio RS200 with the stupid flappy paddle gearbox. The Pug was streets ahead of the Renault. Relatively luxurious inside, very willing engine, comfy but spuuortive seats and just a hoot to drive. It is one of the very few cars I have owned that I was genuinely sorry to see go.

Replaced with a new Golf GTI - very good car - and in reality better than the 208 - but the 208 was way more fun to drive.

On a boring level, nothing went wrong at all in the two years I had it.

I can't really add anything more - if you get one, you won't regret it.

I'm liking the last 2 paragraphs, tomorrow I'm going to look at one with 44k on the clock.

Any more advice is greatly appreciated!

Sorry for the thread high jack, but after a very nice test drive I put down a deposit, and pick up the 208 Friday!

Bit stressful as not long after I had a look around it, someone else turned up with cash and not wanting to P/x, but fortunately the garage honoured that I was there first!

Tell us about the car? What spec, colour etc?

I've owned a 30th edition for 16th months. Very focused and bit of an animal when you give it some.
