Evening all, new member here looking for a bit of info on wheels. I'm after a set of rims for the road and want to know what is the perfect offset and width that will fill the arches and give any extra grip/track width improvements. The car will be running V3s.

I had the same dilema on my C63 and had bespoke forged rims made up by BC and they're utterly perfect...hoping to find something similar for the Meg.

Thankyou in advance!

For instance 8 wide and et42 ok? What about 8.5 and et33?

Back when I bought mine I had some Team Dynamics 1.3 in 18x8.5 5x114.3 ET55.

They stuck out about 1cm more than standard, I used them for trackdays mostly, all on the standard suspensions and there were no issues with rubbing or anything.

If you're looking for a cheaper alternative you could try getting a set of second hand Mazda rx8 PZ wheels. These are OZ wheels and should fit.

I'm not sure what weight they are but imagine very light.

I remember Rimstock telling me the Team Dynamics were 11KG. Not exactly super light but they are a strong wheel.

Thankyou for the reply, I do like the 1.2 but I've been spoilt by the forged BC rims on the Merc! I believe I can get away with an ET of 45 and an 8.5" rim.

I just got a set of 19" Fondmetal 9RR.
Offset is et58 IIRC.

Very nice wheels. Are these to go on a Megane? I'm wondering if 19" affects ride characteristics much?

Yes will be putting them on my Cup-S.
My standard wheels are 19" so doubt these will have a huge affect on the set up.
Probably quite a bit lighter than standard.

My thinking is use the stock 18 rims for track rubber/duties and get something nice and light for road use where the car will spend most of its time.
