hi my mums 206 gti is not starting. I thought it was the battery so charged it over night and went to start but it basically makes a clicking noise. I checked the battery, holding charge and fully charged.
My only thought is the immobiliser is stopping it starting. So I disconnecting it and leave it 24 hours.

Any other ideas.

Had a similar problem with my mini the other week. Battery was reading 12v until you try to start it then nothing when trying to start. Have you checked the battery voltage when the starter is trying to start? We changed the battery and it was fine there after. It was the original battery though.

Also, jump leads would confirm if it's battery related.

If the starter is clicking it's tended to be not enough electric coming from the battery. That's my experience of breakdowns lol.

But guess it could be the starter. Fingers crossed for you!
