Renault Trafic T1400 Blower Resistor

Hello chaps.

I have an old motorhome based on a 2.0 litre petrol Renault trafic T1400.

The heater fan only works on full speed, and after some testing I seem to have a problem with the resistor pack, it is an obsolete part.

It is an open frame device that you can get into and consists of two large wire wound resistors which are both ok, and a cylindrical metal device that I'm unable to identify.

I know it is a long shot, but does anyone on here have any details of this device or resistor pack ?

It's a sort of thermal fuse, if you get hold of another Renault resistor may be able to repair yours. You need to check the heater motor as well, probable that it is drawing a bit too much current causing blowing.
