Good evening!

I have not long since acquired a Clio 182 and the timing belt is well within the mileage and instead has come up to its 6 year change point.

Out of interest what is it that makes it need changing in age?

Is it something that can last a couple of months until it gets booked in?

6 years is about a year out.

Get it changed along with dephaser and water pump ASAP, imo.

Or just run the car to death if it's not worth splashing the cash on and report back how long it lasted smile

Its the material used in the belts, it breaks down over time so hence it has a mileage and/or age to replace it.
